OUR STORY AT HAKUNA MAJIWE
Nestled among the palms on Zanzibar’s Southeast Coast, Hakuna Majiwe (meaning “Place of No Stones”) sits along a pristine stretch of beach so enchanting it inspired our name. The property features a collection of 20 rustic-chic bandas, 16 oceanfront and 4 tucked within lush tropical gardens, each offering tranquil views of the Indian Ocean or verdant surroundings. Designed in “shamba chic” style, the bandas blend Swahili tradition, featuring thatched roofs and ornamental vidaka plasterwork with modern comforts like walk-in dressing areas, artisan four-poster beds, and spacious bathrooms. From secluded honeymoon escapes to spacious five-bedroom suites for families, we ensure both elegance and privacy.
